Coach Joe Godinez
2010 - 12U Baseball
Joe was an assistant coach
for the U-12 boys baseball team in 2010 and was slated to take
over as head coach of the 13U team in 2011.
Joe was a great person who always had every childs best interest
at heart. He was truly a class act and a stand up guy. He had
a wonderful way of presenting his ideas and was always respectful
of everyone around him. His demeanor was bright and positive and
his outlook on things matched that disposition. He coached his
players with a firm hand and strived to get the best out of each
and every one of them. He embodied the true definition
of a “good coach”.
Joe, you will be greatly missed by all.

Coach Gary Lester
2010 - PeeWee Football
Coach Lester’s first love was always teaching in the classroom or
on the athletic field. He was a master of detail and possessed an
uncanny ability to take his knowledge of sports and teach it in such a way
that every player could understand it and execute it with flawless results.
He found great joy in 2010 when he assisted his son Grant’s PeeWee Football
Team, as offensive coordinator and helped lead them to the Swarm’s
first undefeated regular season, then onto a win in the State of Illinois
Championship and then a win at the Pop Warner Midwestern Championship.
His dedication to his coaches, his players and to the Swarm
will be missed by everyone.
